Similar to my approach with mixed media, songwriting is an organic process of experimentation. Melodies are created by ear, self accompanied with acoustic guitar. Many of my songs reference prairie places and stories.

Simple recording is part of developing a song, much like using a sketchbook. These are basic run-through tracks with an IPad in my downtown apartment. Ambient sound is audible here and there - birds, delivery trucks and passing conversation.

CD Design 

I also enjoy bringing my creative skills to other musicians' projects. Below are some of the CD and Single Release designs I have created. Such an honour to collaborate with talented singer songwriters and help to identify the 'look' for their music.
