Incidental Archive Artist Statement 

Incidental Archive shares a collection of new work that reveals my ongoing process of making use of what is at hand, an integral party of my practice. Accumulated materials are transformed through various applications involving prolonged experimentation and chance.

The feature installation is site-specific, created for this gallery and community. It amalgamates nature photos contributed by local Sunshine Coast individuals. Printed images are cut/torn and then manipulated into alternative configurations and landscapes. Intended to reveal the intricacy and diversity of our natural surroundings, the work also references what we paid attention to over the past tow years as we all stayed close to home. For many it was a reintroduction to nature, confirmation of being human. The installation brings these singular moments of experience together.
